Our lead program has completed multiple Phase 1 and Phase 2 clinical trials.  We launched our Phase 2b clinical trial in Thyroid Eye Disease (TED) in 2023 and our Phase 2 clinical trial in cardiovascular disease in Q2 2024. General Responsibilities:

The Associate, Strategy and Business Development reports to the Senior Associate, Strategy and Business Development and is responsible for supporting a broad range of strategic, business development and operational initiatives across the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Support development and execution of global commercial strategy
    • Support qualitative and quantitative market research
    • Support competitive intelligence by monitoring competitor activities across indications and mechanisms of interest
    • Assist in a variety of other strategic commercial projects
  • Support key growth and business development initiatives
    • Support strategy development on indications of interest and prepare internal materials for management team and Board of Directors
    • Support search and evaluation of potential new assets of interest, including on scientific, operational, and financial aspects
    • Prepare materials for and participate in discussions with internal stakeholders and external parties and counterparties
  • Support company financing initiatives
    • Support preparation of presentations and other materials for potential investors and/or analysts
    • Respond to investor diligence questions
    • Support preparation of SEC filings
    • Provide general support for the Tourmaline business operations across all functions, including project management of cross-functional strategic initiatives

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required

Experience and Attributes:

  • Minimum one year of experience in business development, operations, strategic finance, investment banking, management consulting, or investing
  • Demonstrated interest in biotechnology and drug development preferred
  • Excellent analytical skills and strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with financial modeling is a plus
  • Core business operations skills, including: building presentation materials, project management, and ability to develop structured approaches/methodologies to business problems
  • Willingness to work hard in a dynamic environment with changing priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks from multiple parties and work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • A good team player with solid record of collaboration within and across functional areas
  • Regular presence (i.e., minimum three days a week) working from Tourmaline office in New York, NY is required 

Base Salary Range:

$86,000 – $120,000 based on candidate professional experience level.
