General Responsibilities:

The Senior Manager, Strategic Finance role has broad financial planning, management reporting, analysis, and business partnership responsibilities and plays a key role in supporting strategic decision-making across the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Own company-wide long-range plan and provide decision-making support and analysis to executive team.
  • Partner with executive team and department heads to understand business objectives and needs and provide candid, solutions-oriented counsel to leadership regarding key financial decisions and priorities.
  • Manage organizational and department-level budget and forecasting procedures by gathering assumptions and inputs and analyzing and reporting on results.
  • Perform budget versus actual analysis at the consolidated and departmental levels to identify and understand variances, assess risks and opportunities, generate insights and communicate results to senior management.
  • Work with management to understand, interpret and challenge projections for short- and long-term financial models.
  • Collaborate with leaders to develop and deliver reporting dashboards of key financial and performance metrics.
  • Partner with senior and executive management on ad-hoc and what-if analyses and special projects.
  • Prepare materials for board meetings and support various other strategic initiatives of the company including business and corporate development activities.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Education and Licensure:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.

Experience and Attributes:

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis, investment banking, and / or consulting roles
  • Experience in biotech or pharmaceuticals industry required
  • Ability to establish strong business relationships and interact cross-functionally at all levels
  • Highly detail oriented with strong analytical skills; experienced in developing financial models, leading analysis, and explaining options and implications
  • Advanced Excel and strong financial modeling skills
  • Motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic and the ability to work well in a team environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Base Salary Range:

$146,000 – $175,000 based on candidate professional experience level.
